EPDM Porch Roof Kits where the gutter is along the front edge and the back edge adjoins a house wall

The CLASSICBOND EPDM Porch Roof Kits have been designed for structures that have a gutter along the front edge (Width) and the back edge joins onto the house wall.  We have provided the Kerb Edge trims for the two remaining sides (Depth). These kits are straightforward to install look great and have a life expectancy of up to 50 years. EPDM rubber membranes are UV, Ozone and Infrared stable so it will not crack blister or peel.

Included in the Porch Roof Kit is the 1.2mm One Piece EPDM rubber membrane, adhesives, edging trims and tools that are required to complete the DIY project.

• External corner Patches & Primer fo both back corners where roof meets house wall

The Membrane size will be the same as the kit size. Therefore your roof size will need to be smaller to allow for edge overlaps. e.g. 6metre x 3metre roof kit will fit a roof that is no larger than 5.7metres x 2.7metres.

Can EPDM sheets be joined?“]Yes. all of our EPDM membranes can be joined where the roof size is bigger than the largest membrane size or where it would be easier to install the membrane in some smaller sections. This may even be necessary on some shallow pitched roofs to prevent any leaks. [/accordion][accordion title=”4. Can I walk on my new roof?” visible=”yes”]To a certain extent, yes you can. EPDM is designed to take some LIGHT foot traffic during installation and during occasional cleaning/ maintenance. If you do require more use than this (for a balcony) then there are some additional materials that can be laid on top of your EPDM for more durable solutions. [/accordion][accordion title=”5. Do I need any special tools?” visible=”yes”]Typically, you’ll need a standard 9″ roller set, mini roller and brush for applying adhesives and primers. A Seam Roller is a useful tool for tapes and joins. The RESITRIX system will require a heat gun for joins. [/accordion][accordion title=”6. Does it have to be dry for EPDM to be laid?” visible=”yes”]Yes. EPDM Membranes require the substrate to be dry prior to the installation process. This is to ensure adhesive & primers can effectively bond the rubber to the roof deck. EPDM products will not adhere to any wet or damp surfaces.
