If you’re looking for a roofing system that is ideal for most residential, commercial or industrial flat roofing project and contractor, then our DuoPly™ Fleece Reinforced EPDM rolls offer the perfect solution.

DuoPly™ Fleece Reinforced EPDM roofing membrane is a polyester reinforced elastomeric flat roofing membrane. A flexible and elastic rubber membrane that is chemically and thermally stable with exceptional weather resistance.

Why Choose DuoPly™ EPDM Roofing

• DuoPly™ EPDM membrane is comprised of an EPDM laminated to polyester reinforcement layer

• Improved tear resistance, 180% greater than comparable non-fleece reinforced flat roof membranes

• Provides 40% greater puncture resistance than comparable non-fleece reinforced roofing membranes

• Allows old flat roof repair without removal

• Adheres to almost all flat roofing substrates

• A full range of components and details for a completely watertight, flat roof system

• Less roofing material to load onto the roof, finished installation of under 2 kg/m²

• Fast and reliable installation and no open flames on the roof

• External fleece reinforcement creates a very thick 2.54mm sheet

• 34% fewer seams than modified bitumen with DuoPly™ 1.52m wide EPDM roofing membrane

• Ideal for repair, renewal or new build

The polyester lining acts as a cushioning layer which prevents abrasion problems and keeps small imperfections or ridges from coming in contact with the membrane. Specifically designed for use over minor imperfections, splits or ridges that may have formed in the existing roof system. The tough fleece reinforcement on DuoPly™ provides excellent protection for the roofing membrane even on rough substrates.

DuoPly™ EPDM flat roofing membranes are suitable for any construction. The 1.5m wide rolls give fewer seams and faster installation than traditional felt roofs and are more convenient to store, handle and manoeuvre than larger, single ply systems.

DuoPly™ flat roofing systems come with a host of adhesives, pressure sensitive and prefabricated accessories that increase installation speed, saving contractors both time and money. These advanced accessories are simple to install and have a proven track record in the international roofing market.

FAQ

[accordions] [accordion title=”1. Are the EPDM Membranes Guaranteed?” visible=”yes”]The 20 year EPDM guarantee is available only to all certified installers that have attended our training courses. [/accordion] [accordion title=”2. Can EPDM sheets be joined?“]Yes. all of our EPDM membranes can be joined where the roof size is bigger than the largest membrane size or where it would be easier to install the membrane in some smaller sections. [/accordion][accordion title=”3. Can I install EPDM under a shallow pitched tile roof?” visible=”yes”]Yes. You can install EPDM under a pitched tiled roof. This may even be necessary on some shallow pitched roofs to prevent any leaks. [/accordion][accordion title=”4. Can I walk on my new roof?” visible=”yes”]To a certain extent, yes you can. EPDM is designed to take some LIGHT foot traffic during installation and during occasional cleaning/ maintenance. If you do require more use than this (for a balcony) then there are some additional materials that can be laid on top of your EPDM for more durable solutions. [/accordion][accordion title=”5. Do I need any special tools?” visible=”yes”]Typically, you’ll need a standard 9″ roller set, mini roller and brush for applying adhesives and primers. A Seam Roller is a useful tool for tapes and joins. The RESITRIX system will require a heat gun for joins. [/accordion][accordion title=”6. Does it have to be dry for EPDM to be laid?” visible=”yes”]Yes. EPDM Membranes require the substrate to be dry prior to the installation process. This is to ensure adhesive & primers can effectively bond the rubber to the roof deck. EPDM products will not adhere to any wet or damp surfaces. Trapped moisture may vaporize and affect the membranes performance.[/accordion][accordion title=”7. I have incorrect roof tiles for the roof pitch.” visible=”yes”]If the pitch of your roof is too shallow for roof tiles then installing an EPDM rubber membrane would be an excellent solution to this problem.[/accordion][accordion title=”8. How thick is the membrane?” visible=”yes”]ClassicBond and ShedCover = 1.2mm or 1.5mm DuoPly = 2.54mmRESITRIX = 2.5mm ElastaThane = 1.2mm in one coat[/accordion][accordion title=”9.What is the biggest EPDM sized sheet I can buy?” visible=”yes”]All sheets can be joined where the roof size is bigger than the maximum sheet size: ClassicBond & Shedcover 1.2mm – 15.25m x 30.5m (50ft x 100ft) ClassicBond & Shedcover 1.5mm – 15.25m x 15.25m (50ft x 50ft) DuoPly 2.54mm – 1.52m x 12.20m (5ft x 40ft) RESITRIX 2.50mm – 1M x 10M (3ft 4″ x 32ft 10″).[/accordion][accordion title=”10. How long has rubber been used for roofing?” visible=”yes”]the first commercial rubber roof was installed in 1965 in the US by Carlisle Syntec. It is now over 50 years old and still going very strong.[/accordion][accordion title=”11.Why are there blisters and/ or bubbles on my EPDM rubber roof?” visible=”yes”]Whilst bubbles and/ or blisters on a once-piece EPDM roof can seem unsightly, they won’t cause the rubber membrane to fail. The bubbles of trapped air and/ or moisture can be caused by a variety of issues which are all avoidable if the roof design is correct and the membrane was correctly installed.[/accordion] [/accordions]
